Microsoft 365 Setup and Support
Microsoft 365 is usually already paid for and half configured. The value is in the half nobody switched on.
What you get
- Licensing matched to what your team actually uses
- Security defaults and MFA enabled rather than deferred
- Mail, files and identity migrated together, not in three separate projects
- Ongoing support so configuration drift gets caught
What you are actually deciding
Before the quote. None of this is about us.
Most 365 bills are wrong in the same direction
Licences stay assigned to people who have left, and everyone gets the tier the noisiest requirement needed. A licence audit is a half-day of work and is the one piece of cloud cost control that reliably pays for itself the same month.
The default sharing settings are the risk, not the platform
SharePoint and OneDrive will happily create links that work for anyone who has them, forever. That is a setting, not a flaw, and it is worth deciding deliberately rather than discovering later. The same applies to which external domains can be added to Teams.
Business Premium is usually the cheaper answer
Businesses often sit on a cheaper tier and then buy the security controls separately, which costs more than the tier that includes them. Device management, conditional access and the advanced threat controls come bundled at Business Premium. Working out which licence you need is arithmetic, not sales, and it is worth doing before renewal rather than after.
The migration is easy until the archive
Moving current mailboxes is routine. What extends a 365 migration is the historical mail: PST files on individual laptops, a shared mailbox nobody owns, and retention obligations that decide what has to survive the move. Find these before the cutover date is set, not after.
Why us, specifically
Every claim below is something we did to our own systems and can show you.
The configuration is not the effect
We have published what happens when a well-formed allowlist entry silently stops matching: open rates kept arriving, looking exactly like the numbers everyone was used to.
Included in managed support
Microsoft 365 administration is part of managed IT support at $99–$199 per user per month rather than a separate line item.
Questions we get asked
- Can you migrate our email to Microsoft 365?
- Yes — mailboxes, shared mailboxes, calendars and contacts. Staged so the old system stays reachable until the new one is verified.
- Which Microsoft 365 licence do we need?
- It depends on whether you need device management and advanced security, not on headcount alone. We size it against what your team actually uses and tell you where you are over-licensed.
- Do you support Microsoft 365 after setup?
- Yes. It is included in managed IT support at $99–$199 per user per month, which covers administration, security configuration and the help desk.
